PRESIDENT & FOUNDER
It’s not hard to imagine taking in a baseball game with Bob Henderson. With a quick smile and easy-going personality, he could be your friend or your favorite neighbor.
A native New Englander, Bob grew up outside of Boston, where he spent time with his family cheering on the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins.
But when talk turns to financial health and wellness, he gets serious. Bob is a fee-only financial planner and investment advisor in Mystic, CT.
“There’s a lot of confusion out there today,” he says. “Retirement is much more complicated than it was even 10 years ago. My job is to help people navigate the waters and make sense of it all.”
As president and founder of Lansdowne Wealth Management, LLC, Bob’s dedication to his clients is evident in everything he does. From his first meeting, to his ongoing communication and custom-tailored plans, he puts their goals first.
A former corporate finance director and controller, Bob spent 12 years moving around the northeast, spending time in Boston, Toronto and New York City. His career includes working as a finance director for a major Fortune 500 company and controller for a regionally-based hotel company in Connecticut.
“When my wife and I had our son, Owen, in 2002, we felt it was time to leave New York,” he says. “That’s when we found Mystic, Connecticut and fell in love with the area.”
Today, his favorite family activities revolve around the beautiful outdoors; boating, baseball, and golf in summer, skiing in Vermont in winter. In 2005, he and his wife welcomed another child, a daughter, Elizabeth.
Bob holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bentley University, the accredited asset management specialist designation from the College for Financial Planning and the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation from the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysis.
His certifications, along with his experience and expertise, make him a trusted advisor.
"I do everything I can to personally help my clients," he says. "I love seeing them reach their goals and help make retirement more relaxing."
